Snow

I have a soul that's crying out No longer will I roam And I will die before I Ever leave my home I hear the breezes whispering They say it's time to go Now all I wish is a bitter wind That only brings me snow I can no longer feel the cold Or the emptiness inside And I have long since given up On a place to hide If this be my portion Let it be forever so Now all I wish is a bitter wind That only brings me snow Snow to cleanse a bitter wound Snow to make it pure Snow to clear my eyes again See the footprints sure Along the path that lies ahead I see it rising now Snow to warm a frozen heart Cool a weary brow The snow is softly falling In answer to a prayer I feel a fire in the empty place That once was full of care A secret told out in the cold No one will ever know And all I wish is a bitter wind That only brings me snow
